No more losing my pencil!
This was a purchase I put off for a long time and regret not buying sooner. This is a life and time saver, buy one! My pencil is always where I need it and right where I left it, attached to my shirt! No more rolling behind the tool box, no more falling behind the chop saw. If I had to find a negative, I’d say the tension is a little tight and it almost wants to pull the pencil back from your hand, although i suspect it will loosen up with time/use.

OK, but not for a cherished pen or pencil. These work fine, though.
Yes, these do a yeoman’s job of keeping stray pens/pencils handy. The only way to affix these to a pen or a lead holder is by affixing the sheath beneath the pocket-clip.I wouldn’t trust these for any pen or lead holder I especially valued, but I’ll use them at work for keeping dry-erase markers or sharpies attached to my vest.Good product.

Don’t last
I’ve been through two of these retractable pen/badge holders in 3 months. They’re nice and appear to be sturdy, but they don’t last.
