Nice Puller, End Cutter
These “nail puller/end cutters” are nicely made. The rubber handles are fit well to the tool. They are solid and the jaws are well machined. They meet well with no offset and the hinge is smooth with no binding. The casting is clean without pock marks or bumps. They work well for pulling nails if the nail head is “proud” of the wood. They are not going to reach down into the wood for the nail head without doing a fair amount of damage to the surface of the wood, but, if you can get a grip on the head of the nail, these will allow you to make short work of pulling a common nail. The cutting edge is sharp for an inexpensive tool. It easily cuts wire and thin material and holds its edge. I do believe it would take the grip of a gorilla to cut off a framing nail, but, I believe it could be done. I would not want it to cut through a nail too easily. That would make it very difficult to use as a puller. At this price point it is a good value. Is it a precision tool valued at $50+? No. But, at the current price of $10.85, it is a versatile tool well worth a place in my toolbox.

Excellent tool! Gets the job done!
The Bates Nail Puller works extremely well grabbing and pulling out nails through old baseboards. I’d been struggling to remove nails so I could reuse the boards but couldn’t get a good grip or leverage with channel lock pliers. These pliers made it so easy, I don’t even get discouraged when I see a board with a ton of nails sticking out of it. And, if you can’t get a good angle for pulling, they do a good job of cutting the nail flush with the board. Definitely a keeper in my tool aresenal.

Definitely a good tool to have in a workshop!
I bought these to help me take apart some pallets for some wood working projects and they worked great. They are comfortable in the hand and dont feel flimsy when you put a lot of pressure on the handles.

One of the best tool purchases I’ve made
I’ve seen these on the YouTube restoration videos, and I’ve always struggle with just pulling nails with the back of a hammer. THESE ARE AWESOME. Takes a little getting used to so you don’t just snap the nail off, but once you get used to them, I see why the pros use them.

The parcel arrived, apparently already opened and unsealed. That’s why I only give 1 star. It works well to remove screws and small nails tho.Just a quick note: Seller BGGS has offered me a full refund for the opened and unsealed parcel for the plier. So thank you! Five stars, it is!!

I recently added the Bates Nail Puller to my toolbox, and let me tell you, it’s a game-changer! As a carpenter, I’ve struggled with removing stubborn nails and staples from woodwork, but this tool has made the task a breeze. The design is sturdy and ergonomic, fitting comfortably in my hand and providing excellent leverage. The cutting pliers are sharp and efficient, making quick work of nails and staples without damaging the surrounding material. I’ve also used it as a staple puller, and it performs flawlessly in that regard too.One of the standout features of this tool is its versatility. Whether I’m working on a small DIY project or tackling a larger construction job, the Bates Nail Puller handles everything I throw at it with ease. Plus, its durable construction ensures it will last for years to come.Overall, I can’t recommend the Bates Nail Puller enough. If you’re in need of a reliable tool for nail and staple removal, look no further. This is definitely a must-have for any carpenter or DIY enthusiast!
